Proficiency testing is one of the ways specialty gas laboratories and operations demonstrate the reliability of their measurements. AsteRisk operates its proficiency testing activities under an ISO/IEC 17043 quality system.

AsteRisk, LLC has achieved ISO/IEC 17043:2023 accreditation from Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA) as a Proficiency Testing Provider. The accreditation confirms AsteRisk's technical competence to design, administer, and report proficiency testing programs for gas concentration in cylinders — independently verified, not self-declared. The accredited scope uses certified reference materials, results from expert laboratories, and consensus value methodologies for assigned value determination, performed at AsteRisk's fixed facility in Flower Mound, Texas, as well as onsite at customer locations.
